The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear was a gathering that took place on October 30, 2010 at the National Mall in Washington, DC. It starred the Daily Show's host Jon Stewart and the host of The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert.

There were all sorts of interesting signs. This group of Texans apparently want to stay part of the Union.

The rally was originally permitted for 60,000 and over 200,000 showed up. There was overflow everywhere.

We watched the rally on Jumbotron displays. There were 6 of them on the Mall.

The crowd does the "Wave" for Jamie & Adam, the Mythbuster guys. They were one of the "warmup" acts.

Waiting in line to take the Metro back to our car. The crowd was extremely well behaved and I was surprised that we only had to wait about 1/2 hour in line.
